Tie a deposit back to its payments
Use the Cashier's Report in Spruce:
- Filter by the eCommerce drawer the payments post to.
- Filter by the Bankcard type used for online payments.
- Click the blue hyperlink on any line to drill into the specific AR payment document behind it.
The sum of the payments on the report for a given deposit ties back to that deposit on your bank statement, provided the fees are handled through facilitator pass-through. See where processing fees go if your deposit and postings do not match.
Find the entries in the General Ledger
To locate these transactions directly in the ledger, three markers help:
- Search the ledger for documents containing the note
%Requested via E-Commerce%, the internal tag Spruce stamps on payments that came from a sent request. - Bankcard payments post under GL Sequence #37. With detail mapping turned on, you can see separate entries per card type per branch.
- The entries appear under the Point of Sale or Receivables system journals.
Confirm which accounts a payment uses
To check which GL accounts your Drypowder payments land in, see the GL account mapping. The payment-method-to-GL mapping lives under General Ledger, System Journals, Point of Sale Mapping, Payments Mapping, where Bank Cards is sequence 37. The card-type-level breakdown lives under General Ledger, Database, Detail Mapping.
